Panevėžys Civic Art Gallery invites photographers to participate in The Panevėžys International Photography Biennale
Photographers are invited to submit applications to participate in The Panevėžys International Photography Biennale „Man and the City2024. Current Contexts”.
The Panevėžys International Photography Biennale „Man and the City” is a unique cultural event that has been continuing its traditions since 2005. This year’s theme is „Current Contexts.”
Artists are invited to question, imagine, and evaluate what it means to be a creator today in a contemporary, unsafe, and changing world. Photographers are encouraged to creatively interpret urban development processes, reveal the human aspect, city dynamics, and social and psychological factors that shape the quality of life.
The Biennale exhibition, which will take place from September 5 to October 6, 2024, at the Panevėžys Civic Art Gallery, will not only showcase the most expressive works on this theme but also enrich the gallery’s photography collection.

Panevėžys International Photography Biennial “Man and the City” has been organized since 2005. In addition to acknowledged Lithuanian photographers, the photographers from Belarus, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Poland, Russia, and Sweden also have been attended. Creative workshops, lectures, discussions, educations and practical trainings, exhibitions featuring works created during the biennials, and published catalogues are presented during the events.
