The International Glass Art Symposium „GlassJazz” was born in Panevėžys, in 2014. The glass artist, head of glass studio “Glasremis” Remigijus Kriukas came to the idea of organising International Glass Art Symposium “GlassJazz“, where glass art meets jazz music. Since 2018, having united creative and management forces Panevėžys Civic Art Gallery and “Glasremis“ have organized the IIIrd (2018) and IVth (2020) International Art Glass Symposiums together.
International Glass Art Symposium “GlassJazz“ has hosted artists from Lithuania, Czech Republic, Poland, Finland, Sweden, USA, Netherlands, United Kingdom, China, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Iceland, Belarus, France, Belgium.
The curator of the symposium, a glass artist, Doctor of Arts Indrė Stulgaitė-Kriukienė enriched “GlassJazz” by works of photography art. The synthesis has grown and expanded over the years: art glass – jazz – photography – laser show – poetry – media.
