Panevėžys Civic Art Gallery is on Top of the Most Attractive Tourism Objects

Panevėžys Civic Art Gallery has been awarded the first place in the category of museums, manors, castles and other visited objects in the study on the assessment of the attractiveness of Lithuanian tourist sites initiated by the National Tourism Development Agency LITHUANIA TRAVEL.

“We are delighted that the gallery has received the largest number of points, the best evaluation and it is presented as the best success story. This is a great appreciation of the work of the entire gallery team. We share good news with the former long-term Gallery Director Jolanta Lebednykienė, the contribution of whom we continue to develop. For already 31 year the Gallery has been organising Panevėžys International Ceramics Symposiums. Together with the Studio GLASREMIS our team runs International Art Glass Symposium  GLASS JAZZ, the Photography Art Project International Photography Biennale A HUMAN BEING AND A CITY has become a tradition, – said the Director of the Gallery Egidijus Žukauskas.

Besides, the results of the study emphasize that Panevėžys Civic Art Gallery is open at a convenient hours, information stands are available to visitors, employees are helpful in Lithuanian and English, and creative educational programmes for children take place.

The results of the tourism survey conducted on August 1-31, 2021 summarize and formulate the main advantages and disadvantages of the development of the infrastructure and services of all Lithuanian municipalities.

The Market Research Company BERENT on behalf of the National Tourism Development Agency LITHUANIA TRAVEL commissioned the study. The study was anonymous, with no previous information about the investigator and the date of the visit.

In Lithuania, 1,200 selected public, private or public tourism objects have been investigated in all 60 municipalities of the country.

During the study, the main weaknesses of the development of the infrastructure and services of the tourist objects of Lithuanian municipalities were singled out, the directions and opportunities for improvement were identified.
