Stourbridžo meno koledže baigė meninio stiklo ir keramikos studijas: bakalauro laipsnis, 1981; Volverhamptono universitete – keramikos studijas: meno magistro laipsnis, 1994. Nuo 1966 dalyvauja parodose Izraelyje, JAV, Jungtinėje Karalystėje, Lenkijoje, Olandijoje, Vengrijoje. Dėsto Volverhamptono universitete ir yra kviestinis lektorius Estijos dailės akademijoje. Panevėžio simpoziume dalyvavo 1996 metais.

Mel graduated from the Stourbridge College of Art (BA: glassand ceramics, 1981). In 1994 he completed his study at the Universsity of Wolverhampton (MA: ceramic art). Since 1966 he has participated in numerous exhibitions in Hungary, Israel, the Netherlands, Poland, UK, and the USA. Mel was a participant of the symposium in 1996.
