at the Panevėžys Civic Art Gallery, Respublikos 3
Opening on 18 February 2016 at 18:00
The Panevėžys Civic Art kindly invites city residents and its visitors to visit the new Ceramic Art Pavilion opened last December. The modern building designed by architect Valdas Klimavičius became the oasis of the ceramic art works generated during the Panevėžys International Ceramic Symposiums. A part of the chamotte ceramic collection put together during the twenty five years is displayed on the two levels of the building. The newly installed interactive terminal provides access to the information about 157 professional ceramic artists from 35 countries and who created the pieces deployed in the Ceramic Art Pavillion. You are very welcome to see the unique and only ceramic art collection-of-the-type in Lithuania and the Baltic States reflecting not only national, but also global trends in contemporary ceramic art, and promoting cognition of the surrounding world as seen by professional ceramic artists.
